A big news announcement is coming from the NFL as the Washington franchise, which was known for Madden 22 coins the past 20 or so months as Washington Football Team in the wake of (finally) ditching the Redskins monicker, now has an official, permanent name - the Washington Commanders - which we actually enjoy.
So , what do that leaves us in Madden 22? We've had the WFT for a good while and we are expecting EA to move relatively swiftly to make the change and integrate Washington's new branding in the games. Since it's likely that they've just found out about it and could have been able to work on the issue for some time in NDA.
There is a chance that we'll have to wait for Madden 23 to be released, but we're hoping that it won't be. EA has not announced anything yet , but the demand from players wanting to know more about what's happening and when the change will be implemented in game is going to get louder and louder.
Update: Not confirmed as of yet, but Apptrigger has reported that they've received confirmation by an EA rep that the Commanders won't appear for Madden until Madden 23. We'll update you if this becomes confirmed.
"The Washington Football Team will be updated with the new Washington Commander nickname, uniforms and logos in Madden NFL 23."
Will Madden fans be waiting until the new Madden game is released towards the end season? This is a unique problem for the publisher as they will surely want to be seen at the forefront of this revolutionary change.
We also lost the legendary name of the franchise, John Madden, recently too This means EA could well be planning an ode to John Madden with Madden 23 for the occasion. It would be fantastic to cheap madden coins see John Madden being the main character in an upcoming game wouldn't it?
